This is what I have been working on for a while now ... it's all ready to get installed now.

The cluster is from a 87' C60 dump truck. The white faces are from whitegauges.net ... they customize the tach for my diesel's red and yellow line. If I was to do it again I would get "Diesel Fuel Only" between the fuel gauge and tach needle ... for now I will use a labeler to get one!!!

I have to run some wires from the vacumm pump/tach signal sender to the tach and it's ready to install. It's all starting to come together :)

They look great, now I know where I'll get my new gauges form when I get rid of the gasser wiring harness and install the diesel harness later this year.

That looks better than I thought it would.
Good work!!

Thanks guys ... ran into an installation problem, the printed circut on the back is pooched :(

NH2112 ... you know the gasser and diesel share the same cab harness, glow plug stuff is a independant harness that comes off the engine harness.

Moody ... just wired your Tach calabrator thingy tonight :)

Awesome!

Nice work, didn't even know you could get such things done!

Looks nice, but when I go to whitefacegauges.net all I get are "sponsored" links like a search engine...

Do they actually sell anything or did you buy them through one of the links? If so, which one?

That looks great!

I never did like mixing the two time periods of guages, the 73-80 and 81-87....I always thought it looked dorky. But those white faces look awesome! You can hardly tell the difference between the two.

Cool, man!

Not sure what your talking about ... it's all 81-87 style gauges, just happens to be from a medium duty truck and not light duty.

Good Day!

Stunning - a work of art.

That speedo's either km, or you're quite an optimist. ;)

Blessings!

Yep KM only ... don't need MPH north of the boarder

Have you had a chance to light it up yet? I had been looking at www.speedhut.com awhile back, but they are more than double the cost and they want twenty to twenty-five confirmed orders before they'd consider making up a kit for a particular model.

Now, the SpeedHut ones are electro-luminescent (like an indiglo watch), but if these light up pretty nicely with the LED illumination it may be an option I'd consider.

They do light up really good now ... I will try to get a pic of how well the light up tonight. Basically I can easily see they are light up during daylight hours, don't have to wait until dawn or dusk anymore

The only thing is with the LED's I have no dimming, there are either on or off

The tach numbers are a different style than the numbers on the speedo and the other guages.....It may be that all tachs use a different font, but most of the time I see people using a tach from the 73-80 era with the 81-87 guages. The 73-80 guages have a much "older" look than the 81-87 guages.

Anyway, the whiteface labels make the guages blend together well....better than factory.

I've been considering going to the LEDs anyway. Perhaps I'll do that first to see what I think about the brightness and then decide on the white faces...

One thing you can do to increase the brightness is to paint the inside of the cluster silver or white. I did silver and it really increased the brightness. The LED's took it to the next level.

Hmmm... From www.superbrightleds.com:
If I install LED bulbs in the dash, will the dimmer still work?
Yes, LED bulbs will dim with your dash light intensity control
