Offroading and get hung up on some unknown submerged object, backoff it and I pull the x-over pipe clean off the motor. Loud roar, massive gurgling of exhaust blowing out of both manifolds which are submerged with me saying a few prayers water does not enter motor......

Drive slowly back to my AO and find that the driverside exhaust was blowing directly onto my bypass filter lines. What saved em was the AirEquip firesleve I had installed when installing the bypass system. The bypass system hoses from the block are dangeriously close to the downpipe in any bypass install mounting under truck.

I get the Flowmaster x-over kit which comes w/downpipe too (didn't use downpipe), great setup, however, the x-over pipe when installed sits about 1" lower under motor than factory x-over does. My x-over gets extra attention before install w/header wrap and thick coats of hightemp silicone to seal all 4 layers.
