The bad ( I hope good ) news is :
1 of the trucks is not a GM...

Went and did it, Bought a 2002 dodge cummins,
3/4 LB Ext cab,6 speed 3.55 gears 4x4,

Honest , I looked for a GM Dmax, but GM did not
make many std shifts, nor Long Beds in 3/4 ton,
Would have settled for an auto but no luck there either.
Was trying to find a 3/4 LB in a 6.0 also, no luck,
Dealer could only find a few crew cabs and of course
they are all white ( any color but white )
I even called the GM hot line, girl told me she would find me a truck and cal/email me next day; Still waiting for call.

New Truck has 50k miles and drives excellent, just like
a new Weapons carrier, Well , only driving it for awhile
will let me know if I made a mistake.

probably keep the K3500 for awhile, just in case...
Hate to part with it, got to many spare parts
Plus, as long as I have 1 GM, you guys can't through me
off the forum, eh.

Definately keep the 6.5. You can use it to tow your Dodge in for repairs. :)

Honestly - congrats I'd go for the Cummins long before the Powerjoke.

I must say my Dodges will pull way more than any GM that i ever owned.
You now have another truck that has a injection pump that will fail when your lift pump fails.......
Keep a close eye on all those front end parts.......
If you want to make some real power without adding a box, let me know and I will hook you up with one of the guys that devoloped the engine. It sure is sweet having all that power AND all the Cummins monitoring for safety.

Good luck, You will want to keep a 6.5 around, I will not part with my Sub.

Sounds like a great truck. Cummins/6 speed (esp. with 50k) is hard to beat. I agree, that's a tough truck to find in a GM version. Personally, I think you'll be suprised at how few repairs you'll have to make...congrats
