Looks like the new cab and chassis dodge is going to come out with the new 6.7 liter cummins engine with egr, but the big news is the new 6 speed automatic built by Aisin Corporation. Looked it up on Aison.com and they show a six speed auto on the web-site. Dodges web-site says that the new engine horsepower is only 305hp and 610lb/tq. and will only be avalible in the cab and chassis models at first along with new tranny...

Dodge had to do something.... To compete with the Duramax ... :D

I wonder if this engine is just a bored 5.9?

According to this (http://www.turbodieselregister.com/06ntea/) article, the current 6.7 offered in europe is a stroked 5.9, but the 2007 US version is basically a new design, with a different bore and stroke, and all the egr stuff.

The April 2006 issue of Diesel Power had an article on the variations of the 5.9s through the years. The '89 model was 160hp at 2500rpm and 400lb/ft of torque at 1600rpm. In '06 that had climbed to 325hp at 2900rpm and 610 lb/ft at 1600rpm!

Pretty impressive considering it is the same displacement and the same basic layout.
