Large Nut Fan?

Need to know which way the large nut on the engine cooling fan is threaded?

since no other answers - I would speculate - ( assuming this is the threaded on fan, my '96 has the 4 bolts) that it would be in the opposite direction of rotation - to keep it tight as it spins.

If I remember correctly, you need to spin the nut counter- clockwise to remove the fan.

Turn the fan clutch hub nut IN the direction of fan rotation to loosen it.

Turning it AGAINST fan rotation will only make it tighter.
