I have a 2006 2500HD LBZ with about 600 miles on it and the oil pressure only runs about 30psi at highway speeds. I asked the dealer and they said that was normal. Is this really normal for a LBZ? Thanks

I think your oil pressure is about normal.
GM has a bulliten out on this topic.

Mine is near 40psi(dash guage) at 70MPH in 6th gear. If I shift to 5th gear the oil pressure is about the same as the 04 LB7 I had. I think the lower RPM in 6th gear has some effect.

Can you provide the bulletin number, please ? I also have an O6 and it has the same low oil pressure.:)

Yes if someone could post the bulliten text here it would be nice. My 03 would run at 60 psi just poking down the road.

With my 06 I really have to get after it for it to pull 60 psi. I keep wanting to make note of the rpm/psi but keep forgeting about it.

my lbz seems to be real low at idle...30-40psi at moderate speed, 40 plus at highway speeds........i stopped by dealer , service said was normal, havent done a oil change yet...about 1000 miles on her so far........

I just turned 1k on my 06. My oil pressure is similar to the numbers already posted (30-40psi on the road, barely floats the gauge at idle). The 2006 LBZ I test drove before I ordered my truck also showed this type of oil pressure.
