The truck is MADDOG's (Richard) in the above picture link and this is what he said about that particular dyno session...


I had a pump issue that kept me from hitting 950+, it was cutting out on the big end and created some dips and then would jump up to 964hp and then cut back again. So to be fair we smoothed things out on the dyno graph and came up with the 868hp. With some tunning I am confident that I can hit 1000hp at the wheels on just diesel. The neat thing was that after running on the dyno I drove 1800 miles home without changing anything, and still averaged 14.5 miles per gallon with a best of 16.
