I found my lost prybar.......engine's quieter now, too!

Did ya ever?

I was trying to get my A/C belt tightened yesterday (squeals under load) and was trying to get a bigassed screwdriver under there and lo and behold, there is the prybar I used for the job last time, still sitting there wedged between the valve cover, compressor and fan shroud - after two thousand miles of driving!

It's a testiment to how tightly everything is squeezed in on a van that it never fell out.

Blessedly, taking the prybar out of there eliminated a pretty annoying clanging/rattling noise that I had been trying to pretend didn't exist.

Didn't make up for all the time I spent looking for that prybar last time I wanted it.

Oh well..........

That's freakin hilarious! Because I've been there. I try to take care of my tools, but once in a while the excitement(or late nite) get the best of me. I was adjusting the valves on my '70 nova one time and left the break over bar I was just using, still on the crank bolt. Then I jumped in and gave her a whirl to prove to myself how much better it was.......rrrrrrrrrKLUNK........."what the hell was that?" It spun over 'til the bar hit the frame then stopped, but not before breaking the nose off of my starter!!
