This may or may not have been asked.

On my way home today, was thinking about something I read about cold air thru the intake.

hhhmmmm.... I said to myself, "self, I wonder if anyone has thought about using the cold air from an air conditioner duct from the truck and routed to the air intake"

Anyone know of anyone that has tried this. The article that I read somewhere, said that "cold air" is what the engine "wants" to run better and have better mileage.

Any articles out there that show someone doing this on there truck?

A couple problems I can see with using A/C cold air is: 1- It requires power to run the A/C system, and 2- The engine would require more air than can be cooled by a typical automotive A/C system.

The best approach would be to bring in outside air. We'll have a new tech article available soon that shows how to better isolate the intake air from coming from under the hood. :)

Banks Engineering already has a Cold Air Intake system. It is called the Ram-Air
