hi all. i have a 1995 chevy 6.5TD (listed in sig)

it has the HD motor (L65 code IIRD) and 3.73 gears in the diff's.

i am going to be going on a 350 mile trip, towing an equipment trailer and my jeep on it in a little over a week. it will probably weigh between 5500 and 7000 lbs

my question is, what should i do before that? i have heard egt/boost guages are a good thing to have before going on a haul like this, but where do you get these guages at, and how do they work? are they generic, or vehicle specific? i did some searching, but did not come up with a whole heck of alotta info. any help is appreciated. thanks.

Go to the advertisers link and look at Kennedy's site. He has a boost, egt in a piller mount kit. I'm saving up now for them myself. I've done a lot of looking and for the money it's hard to beat.
