Does anyone know if the 06 allison is tougher

Does anyone know if they improved on the HP & torque capabilities for the new six speed allison? Like different clutch pack materials and or better tourque convertors with larger lockup ect. And higher line pressures. I am curious, and if so how much more hp & tourque will they handle. I would love to see the factory specs. We are trying to buy one. I am betting that Jim or John or D-Max or one of you tech guy's knows Thanks

From what I am told, they are a bit stronger, but not a lot so don't push it...

While it may not have all of the Allison details you're looking for, the article we published last year on the 2006 Model Year (http://www.thedieselpage.com/features/2006MY.htm) trucks included some Allison info, concerning what's been upgraded.:)

Thanks, I'll check it out. I would like to add a tow tune equiv to the edge level 2, if that is safe.
