Since I JUST bought a shiny new Dmax, I already want to pimp it out. BUT, this time around, I'm going to keep it to a minimum. Out and out shaming a new Acura today shows me stock is just fine. But there is always a little room for improvement.
Wheres the best place to tap in senders for EGT and boost? Looking over the overcroweded engine bay, I'd guess the giant aluminum return elbow that exits into the lower intake would be best place for the boost sender. It's after the mass air, ic, and other junk and easy to get to. Pretty much the last stop before the heads. The EGT probe is another story. Heck, you can't even see the turbo exhaust outlet. On my 94, I had the probe in the downtube. I'd like to go pre-turbo this time for better accuracy. How difficult will it be to get back there? I paid a mint for this thing and refuse to mess it up so if I have to pay someone to put the probe in for me, I'll do it. I don't want to cause problems like I have on other vehicles.
