Is there anything I can do about the A/C on my 03 duramax. It does not cool well in the summer. Even on a long road trip. I am sweating to death down here. I took the truck into the dealership twice and they said it just isn't going to cool much in 100 degree heat down here in South Texas. Can you help?

Try reposting your question in the Duramax Forums. I admire the new trucks, but know next to nothing about them. I am time-warped back in 1984 when my truck was new.

There is a product called Envirosafe. It is a better refrigerant than 134A and will get a lot colder. Find a small AC tech that will work with you and get some in the beast. You can buy it off the net. Envirosafe Its completely compatible with the new system and will work well. I have used it in several rigs and love it.
The change over is easy, just suck out the 134A crap and pump in the prescribed amount of Envirosafe and poof your done.
