'93 6.5TD oil pan

Why can't I get the oil pan off this truck? I have removed all the bolts. What makes it harder is the motor is in the truck. Is there a secret to this?

The pan is glued onto the block using a silicone gasket compound. Work/tap a knife or putty knife into the joint between the pan & block at a rear corner, then work it loose from there. :)

The factory silicone works really well doesn't it?

A good 1.5" putty knife that you can beat on the handle a little bit works fine.
