Replacing Air Filter And Noticed Air Inlet At Fender Has Plastic Cover Over It And No Duct To Filter Housing Like Gas Motors Have. Is This Normal And Why. Thanks, Rich

It was a factory TSB way back on the 01's. IIRC it had to do with water spraying thne filter.
