I just got home tonight from picking up my truck in Kansas, on the way out (empty car hauler, 1500 lbs+or-), I got a resonating vibration starting at the floorboard, seat & ending at the steering wheel, cycling about every 3-5 seconds. It mainly occured while going up hills or otherwise heavy load, but not all the time.

It seemed to be a little worse on the way back, loaded approx. 7500 lbs in tow. The weird thing is that it was not consistant.

I am going to check the driveline in the next couple of days.

Anyone else experienced something like this?

check your hormonic balancer, my truck had similar vibrations when the hormonic balancer broke free of the crank.

Could it be something transmitting from the trailer?

Could it be something transmitting from the trailer?

Very possibly, this is something that I thought about on the empty leg of the trip. I thought if it was something with the trailer it would change significantly when it was loaded (better or worse), it didn't seem to change much other than it happened more frequently being under heavy load more frequently.

I had concerns about the harmonic balancer but I thought it would be RPM related.

Might be U-joints?
