Parting out 1995 GMC Sierra 1500 Z71 Gasser. Exterior is light brown, interior is tan, or whatever color they called it. "Neutral", maybe?? Truck was used to cause sever damage to several other vehicle's rear ends, so its front end is in pretty bad shape. Damage is mostly to the front corners.

Good parts:

Engine.
350/TBI (pre vortec). 120K. No smoke. No leaks. Runs (ran) strong with no issues. Passed CA smog prior to crash. Includes ECM and all intake/exhaust components (manifolds, TB, etc.), unless they get sold first.

Tranny.
LIKE NEW! 4L60E. Less than 900 miles. Have receipt to show the rebuild with new case (old one cracked). Includes torque converter, unless it gets parted out. I won't pull the tranny just for the TC. Only if it's handy. OEM cooler also with no damage (don't ask me how it survived w/o a scratch).

Transfercase.
4x4 used very little. No issues I know of. Always shifted into/out of gears w/o problem. Quiet--no gear/bearing noise. No leaks. Manual floor shift.

Rear driveshaft.
straight.

Front driveshaft.
Straight.

Front differential.
Worked w/o issues, noise, or leaks. Has original thermal engagement.

Front hubs (6 lug). Were fine.

Power steering pump and gearbox.
Worked. No leaks or abnormal noises.

Brake booster (vacuum), master cylinder and ABS controller.
Worked fine. Lack of friction on road surface led to crash, not the brakes.

Windshield wiper motor.
Like new (new design, no broken solder). Worked fine at time of crash.

Hood/fenders/grill/radiator/condensor.
Really nice if you're into Picasso. Otherwise, [s]crap.

Bed/tailgate.
Nice. Straight w/ no dents or deep scratches. No rust.

Rear bumper. Good shape including NRA and fat chick stickers. Just kidding--It has a scratch or two. Plastic cover is faded, but good otherwise (ArmorAll fix).

Rear springs.
Springy.

Interior.
No seats (sold to TDP member).
Carpet is in fair shape. Some stains, but intact and not too bad.
Dash and all dash/IP components still there and working. El cheapo radio, but I don't remember if it worked. Matching carpet dash cover.
Speakers (yeah...Right)
Glove box.
Headliner (no console). Dome light.
Glass. Front/rear/doors.
Misc. door hardware, all working. New driver side inside handle. Power windows, locks, etc. Door panels. Arm rests. Buttons/switches.
Rear view mirror. Works, but I can't get that ugly image out of it. Same thing with all my other vehicles. What was GM thinking. Pine tree air freshener, but it doesn't smell so good anymore.
Doors. Sheet metal damage at the front edges where they meet (met) the fenders. Repairable. No rust.
Door/window seals.
Steering column. No tiller. No signal stalk. Auto. Tilt. Haven't seen the nut behind the steering wheel since the crash.
Pedals.
All panels. Kick and rear.
HVAC. Worked fine.
Fuzzy dice. A little faded.

The list goes on, but I'll spare ya.

Gone major parts:
Rear axle.
A/C compressor.

The truck and parts are located in southern-central CA. Delivery is possible within a reasonable distance. Shipping is also an option.

Make me an offer on any combination of parts. I'll take one heckofan offer for the whole thing. It's gotta go. My wife decided she's rather have a gnome in the yard. No reasonable offer refused. It'll be gone one way or another pretty soon.

Please post any questions here, and make offers and specific picture requests via email. It's a truck. That's what it looks like.

Thanks. And hurry up. I need to get my kid through grade school (milk, bribes and book reports ain't cheap).

Here's a thought... Pull the dash and all related dash components & air ducting, including the steel cross tube, door panels and related hardware, and door A-pillar molding. There is interest in converting a 1988-94 C/K to use the Duramax/Allison. The previously mentioned components make the conversion a lot easier. :)

I'd consider exactly the parts Jim mentioned to put in my 93 crew being converted to a Duramax. My interior is burgundy but I'm sure I can paint the dash, or convert my interior as I don't really like the burgundy. Too bad your seats are gone, that would make a nice package.
Is the dash in good condition?
Are the door panels cloth?
A picture would be nice.

PM me if you like.

Arlie

PS: I have to make sure newer door panels would fit, not sure yet how to figure that one out. Anyone know?

Did the metal frame "under" the drivers side seat go with the seats?

Seats were the first to go, a couple years ago. The entire cab is gone. It would all depend on how far under the seats you are talking about.

The cab was unbolted at the body mounts, and the whole thing went.

How much are you asking for the transmission? Any idea on the cost to ship to W Kansas(zip 67758)? My dad needs that trans for his 'burb. If it's not too far, or too expensive to ship he will be interested for sure.

Jim is right on the interior parts. I am looking for a complete grey interior from a 95-up Xcab to convert my 94. So if anyone has a lead.......

The tranny is a 4L60E (1/2 ton). I have about $1800 into it. It was overhauled 900 miles before the crash. I can email the receipt to you if needed. The case was cracked, and replaced with new, also with a new torque converter. It is in a 4x4, so you'll need to switch the output cover for a 2wd truck.

I'll work with you on the price and shipping. I'm not looking for profit, just trying to recover some loss after the insurance co. rape. The best bet would be to come up with the "final cost" you (your dad) can live with, and I'll see what we can do with the price and shipping.
