I'm looking at installing a 4" exhaust on my Suburban and see mods are needed ? It does have rear heat and air. Any input would be great.

Thanks

I've had the 4" installed on a suburban in the past.

You just need to make sure that you have sufficient clearance between you heater lines that crossover over shortly after the downpipe transitions to 3.5". I opted to wrap the exhaust pipe with header wrap in that location. The lines are already insulated in a heat material, so that helps.

If you get a pinnacle exhaust system (sold by some vendors out there too), just install the downpipe yourself and remove the old system, then take the rest of the system to an exhaust shop. None of the hangers will line up correctly.

The exhaust shop should just cut off the supplied hangers and install their own.

I got away with $50 for this operation, and would never try to install one again for that.
