What is wrong with this picture?

My '99 P/U seems to be blowing specks of soot onto my camper when going down the road...I think that is what is happening, anyways, or it could be black tar coming off the repaved highways too. Not sure, but if the 6.5 TD has been known to do this by anybody elses truck, could you let me know what the problem is?

Most likely the "soot" is just that...soot. From your tailpipe. You may want to check for oil leaks. Whatever drips will end up on your trailer!!!

I see it all the time. I have 5 trailers....All painted black.
