View Full Version : headers for 6.2 NA?

I've dome some searching, but haven't had much luck in finding out what headers are available for the 6.2 NA engines.

I've seen some refrences to 'hummer' headers (and am picking a set up from e-bay to take a look at them), but i wanted to try and find out what else is available. (I'd like to only go through the hassle and expense of changeing the exhaust once)

those headers look so sweet. i just joined the army and am luckyenough to drive a hummer in the field. so lets just say i spend a lot of time looking at the hummers headers. they look so nice. appear to be stainless with very thick flange. welded clean. minimal bends. the cross over pipe enlarges by a half before meeting the passenger side. appear to be somewhat balanced. while driving these beasts i have noticed they run very hot. up to 220 deg. even at idle. they are also slow to get moving. or i should say they need a lot of throttle. oh yeah our vehicles are fresh back from an overhaul.

Stray cat did some dyno testing on a set of headers a while back. Should still be in the archives. Headers were not from a Hummer, but equal length tube headers.
