Folks - I haven't visited in a while but now I have a few questions.

1. Where is the best (cheapest !) place to buy fuel filters for my '02 Duramax ?

2. I've read about a replacement fuel filter bleed screw that's NOT made out of plastic. Where can I get one of those ?

Is there a concern about using the new ultra low sulphur fuel in pre-2007 diesels ? If so, what's the recommended solution for that situation ?

Thanks much,

Tim B.

Welcome back!

1. Several TDP Advertisers (http://www.thedieselpage.com/vendors/main.htm) carry them at competitive prices.

2. Greg Landuyt at www.lubricationspecialist.com (http://www.lubricationspecialist.com) is the only one I know of. I have one, but replaced it with his bleed valve/tubing kit. Both are excellent quality.

No problem using ULSD. We do, however, recommend using a lubrication additive until the marketed product is more stable and better defined. It's a hot topic, and of concern to many. You won't hurt anything with too much lubrication.
