I'm not sure where to ask this, but I figure you guys may have a clue.

Is it possible to swap a complete rear end (rotor to rotor & calipers) from say a 2004 Silverado 2500HD, into my 96 Suburban?

Anything is possible, just depends on how much modification would be necessary. I'd start by checking out the width and the locations of the spring perches and go from there.

Yeh, that's where I'm going to start. I'm going to climb under one and do some measuring.
I just thought I would see if anyone has tried it.

Someone here swapped a complete AAM 1150 from a 2001+ 2500HD into his 90's Suburban. I seem to recall some issue with brake proportioning, but the fit was rather easy - as I recall.

I would like some more info on that.
Do the trucks or Suburbans use any sort of proportioning valve? Or, could I install one?
