'95 Surburban issues.............

Initial problems
-poor start / hold accel on the floor to start
-stalls cold
-odd time stalls hot
-hesitation on the hwy but only at times

Repairs done to solve
-no lift pump action / replace oil pressure switch
-pump only works sometimes / rap with hammer comes on / replaced
-replace fuel filter
-charge battery's / check connections
-cranked it over and it fired up running perfect
-noticed the wires to the crank sensor are chaffed / replaced sensor
-now wont' start again
-can't read codes at the connector

Thoughts?

UPDATE

Went out to have another look, cycled the glow plugs, started up like it had been running a moment before. Ran / idled for 30 minutes for so, perfect for the first 20 then started to cut in and out as if you had flashed the ign switch off and on then would smooth out / repeat.

Sounds like a possible PMD issue.

I'm sorta leaning in that direction myself, since the PMD is about 5yrs old / been run without a cooler perhaps it's time to replace them anyways.
In the meantime I'm still concerned as to why it won't spit out any codes, light comes on / stays steady. I think while I'm waiting (on the advice of a member nice enough to pm me / thanks again) on a new PMD I'll go through and check / clean every connection I can get near including at the ECM.

Classic PMD / FSD failure symptoms. Other than checking the grounds, the intermitancy points to the PMD. I had similar issues, and zero problems since replacement.
