My interior lights (exept the one under the dashboard) is out of order, and the constant power to the radio also. Have examined the fuses in the fuse box and all was ok.

Are there any other fuses placed outside the fuse box for this circuit ????

Twice my utility trailer wiring shorted out with the frame and blew the parking light fuse. All the parking/running lights and dash lights did not work BUT the one interior light at the floor was on constantly. Somehow, power was back feeding through the interior lights with the blown fuse!?! Replacement of the fuse fixed the problem. I know you said your fuses are OK so I don't know. How are your parking/running lights? I'll also ask the obvious, have you checked the bulbs and the grounds for these lights? Put a voltage checker on the bulb socket to determine if you have power there. You actually should have 12 volts all the time as these lights operate on a ground switch at the door.

The tail lights (marker lights) use the same fuse and circuit as the instrument panel. If your I/P is not lighting, and you are having issues with the tail lights, it will be that fuse or circuit. Anytime your dash lights fail, it's a pretty good bet your tail lights are out too, and vice versa.

I figured a long time ago that GM wired them like this on purpose. If the taillight circuit loses power; then the dash lights don't work to let you know about the problem.

Tail lights, marker lights and instrument lights all workes fine. And Yes i have checked the bulbes. The probleme occured during installation of an new radio/cd so i guess i most have broken the circuit during this process.

They should have made the dash/taillight circuit a 2-wire circuit, because I lost the t/l due to corrosion at the 4-pole connector and it would have been nice for my dash lights to let me know before the nice ossifer did! :p

Did you check the 5 amp fuse for the IP lamps?

I agree. What I said is true when the TL lose power. Not at individual bulbs.
