The carbon is not listed, but is usually 3 to 4 % in a gray iron casting. Of interest is the relatively high silicon level, and the chromium. The molybdenum that everyone thought was the magic ingredient is there in just a trace amount.
The combination of chromium, nickel, and copper is the magic fu-fu dust that makes the metallurgy of the '82 block outstanding.
