Hi everyone. I'm new to diesels and new to this forum and have a few general questions. I am planning on buying a 2007 2500 HD Silverado or Sierra (depending on how they look in person). Do you recommend using an auxilliary fuel filter, expecially in light of the fuel change over, or just changing the regular filter frequently? What kind do you recommend? What about a bypass oil filter. Is it really necessary or recommended? Finally, I plan on switching to synthetic oil throughout after about 10k. Has anyone had any experience with Royal Purple or Red Line? Thanks for your help and patience.
