check engine- EGR system

My wifes '03 LB7's check engine light came on, we took it in to the dealer and the code came up "EGR system". They replaced the EGR valve road tested it and called it good; the next day it came back on, I'm assuming it's the same code. Anyone else been down this road? The truck goes back in later this week.

Simple enough to disable via programming. Might be worth looking into rather than diagnose/repair.

Wouldn't be the first check engine light I've ignored; I think emissions warranty will pick up the tab for this one.
