My wastegate is trashed, the shaft is all bent and sticking and that is what is causing my problems.

Does anybody know where I can get another, or somebody that can fix the one I have??

Thanks,
Bbudus

Check w/Bill Heith he has a mech gate control to replace what you have.

Is it the wastegate shaft or the actuator rod?

It is the actual exhaust compressor housing and wastegate, I called Bill, he referred me to USDiesel Parts, they had one for $150...Saved the day, very good people, would highly recommend them..

Thanks,

I'm wondering how something like that would get bent?

The good folks at USDiesel were supprised how many miles were on it, and that it had not failed before(250,000). When I replaced the turbo, I just replaced the turbo not the exhaust housing, if I knew then what I know now, I would not be going through this. So lesson learned, and with the old engine, it did get hot, very very hot on a couple of occations, hence the new engine, thanks to this site if the my exhaust temps go over 600f, i start to wonder what is up. I love this site, my truck and I thank you.
