Trickle Charging batteries

I am not going to be driving my truck much this winter and because of that I want to hook up a trickle charger to keep the batteries in top working order. My question is that since there are 2 batteries in my truck which one should I hook it up to or does it matter, Or do I need to get 2 chargers "which I don't want to do".

I dont know if this is practiacal for you, but to keep my boat battery topped up in the off season, I installed one of those outlet adapters that lets you plug a cord into a light socket, and used that on the garage door opener light to run the trickle charger.

Every time we open the garage door, the boat battery gets a 4 minute charge. It keeps from overcharging the battery.

I have had good results with solar trickle chargers, I have 1 on my backhoe batt and another on the dash of my Bronco 2 mud beater, you need a 1.8 watt(which fits perfect on a dash) or bigger panel in my experience to be have a effectve trickle charge from the sun, I have a 5 watt panel for the backhoe. I thought I pretty much had a working knowledge of batteries & charging until I went to this battery faq website (http://www.batteryfaq.org) . It will answer all or your questions & some you didn't even know you had! BTW, trickle chargers are not a good idea. Have fun!
