After two months with my new 2006 Chev 3500 dually, I am still looking for a straight answer on memory settings included in the LT3 option.
The manual states that the memory settings, which there are 2, will change the driver seat and outside mirror settings to the presets. I can get the driver seat to move, but not the outside mirrors...?
Everytime I ask the dealer, I get the deer in the headlight look along with different answers depending on who I ask. Some say no, the manual is wrong, others say the radio stations & the seat should change, and others say the remotes will change settings ( I do see the remotes have 1 & 2 on them, but they do not change anything, I need to select the memory number button on the driver door ).
I would appreciate any input you can provide. Thank you.

I have the camper mirrors on my 2006.
When first delivered the mirror memory worked, sort of.
The mirrors never returned correctly to the original set position after tilting.
Always a little bit out.
Complained to dealer who checked and said that the mirror memory program should not have been programmed.
Seems my vehicle was delivered with standard mirrors and the dealer fitted the campers but neglected to modify the program.

My driver information settings no longer have the option to set the mirror memory.

My 2006 LT3 came with the power folding mirrors, The memory option worked great. Than I had the dealer install the large trailer mirrors. Even though they are power adjustable the memory has never worked right. If I bump the memory button the seat goes where it should but the mirrors get jacked up and have to be re-adjusted. It would be nice if there were a way to re-calibrate them.. I really like the larger mirrors.

Brand new 06' that came with the camper mirrors installed as an option. I found that the memory function doesn't work:eek: - the seat adjusts fine. I discovered it today...I just bought the truck about two weeks ago:eek: . I plan on calling the dealer tomorrow and inquire about it.

Is anyone aware of a fix for this issue? Thanks,

:) This may, or may not, be of help to y'all. I've been in Texas too long!
Over the holidays, back home, I swapped my power folding mirrors from the 04, for my son's power towing mirrors from his 03 Chevy 3500 Dually. The memory proved out OK, (until) I started the engine for the first time. After that, for the next two months, they were erratic. Couldn't set the memory for the mirrors. They went wherever they felt like going. I set them by the control, every time I drove it.
Checked this out with the DP gurus, who recommended getting the body module re-programmed. Got to Del Rio, before I had it done. Turns out there are two modules to do. One "door module" in (for?) each front door. Cost me $76 + tax. Now, the mirrors will take the programming for each of the two keys, and the radio and seats still take the memory, the same as always. Yes, it was worth it to get those pesky mirrors to stop re-setting, every time I keyed the switch. Funny, I just discovered, today, that even the bass returns to the memory set, previousely. How do those little "people" in there know to do that?
I think you have to get to the right dealer. I mean the one who actually has a tech that knows how to do the job.
Good luck.
