View Full Version : Tailights? Nope, just headlights, '87 'Burb...

My wife noticed a burning smell, and next thing you know, My lower dash coutesy lamp goes ON with the headlights, off when dome lamp clicked on, and ONLY headlights for external lighting. No dash lights, tail, side, etc!
What the heck happenned? I'll try change the light switch tomorrow, but havn't touched anything. My trailer harness was changed two weeks ago, I'll check it for a short. I HATE wiring! But I have a test lamp, and spare parts... A few pix of what this Sub does for a living... Thx, Andrew

The smell was obviously that the Corvair you were towing caught fire between the first and second picture! :)

Looks like the Sub doubles as a cycle jump too!

Yea, looks like it. I was loading a 6000 mile 72 Triumph Trident, original paint, one ownerm\, to deliver to shipping port in Bayonne NJ, then off to Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Sold it on eBay. Picked up a '63 Corvair convert on the way home... Look carefully in the back of the 'Burb, it's in there...
