I replace my fuel filter and there are NO leaks. This new one is longer that the ones I have replaced in the past. Every time my truck sits for an hour, it will not start unless I prime it. Anyone know why or anyone experience this? Thanks for your help.

I hate to say it but it sounds like you have a bad seal on the fuel filter gasket or the water drain plug gasket or the bleader screw is not shut.

I'm on my third duramax truck. Never had this happen until my 06. First fuel filter change I had exactly what you discribed. Never saw a fuel leak. So after two days of trying to figure the problem I put a new filter and gaskets on. Problem solved. I did find a small nick in the filter gasket, an I mean small, took 30 minutes to find.

I found a hair line crack in the filter. I primed it while the screw was tight and noticed fuel leaking out. Filter was make in CHINA, imagine that.
