I've just replaced the very early 6.5L TD in my motorhome with a new Peninsular AMG 6.5L TD rated @230HP. The torque curve is different from the original, and putzing with the throttle position sensor doesn't yield a sweet spot for shift points.

GVW is 18K lbs., although I usually run at 16K.

Any recommendations for/experiences with an aftermarket programmable Transmission Control Module for the 4L80E?

TCI, ATS, etc - do a search for 4L80E, here and on the web

You could either develop your own, or find a Florida reseller that could develop one for you.

Thanks for the info - I've located several products on the Web, but those are just Googlefinds and liberally laced with hype.

I'm also hoping for opinions on ones TDP members have actuallyused.

Bump. Anyone using an aftermarket controller for the 4L80E?

I've asked this question many times, but my issue also includes autotrac 4wd, and ABS, I could not get any firm to even do a beta program for me.

My hp 320 @3,500 rpms, tq 550 ft lbs @ 2,200 rpms, then I have highway gears too so controlling it all has been an issue.

Suggest, you go/with transgo reprogramming kit.
