I'm getting some stumbling and unstable idle at times, searches of wed indicate it's a mechanical problem inside pump........

"fuel injection mechanical failure fuel valve feedback circuit"

I need some input on this, please.

P0251 is "Injection Pump Cam System" Error.

Check your connections on the optic sensor and clean the connectors.

You'll likely have to remove the upper intake plenum to get access to these components.

If your harness going to the optic sensor (top) has the "filter" harness on it, remove the filter harness and plug the connector that went into that filter harness directly into the injection pump's optic sensor. This will narrow out a bad filter harness.

Go for a test drive.

Otherwise, it's related to a mechanical/electrical failure with the IP, which could be the optic sensor itself or the encoder ring.

I figured after a little tinkering I'd be better off w/new IP & phaser gear drive got them from "JK" of course...............
