Is Edge burring the truth?

I just got an edge Juice/attitude. On the xtreame diesel website, it mentions nothing about having to pay $100 for the advertised 100hp/200tq level.
Level 0: Stock
Level 1: 30 Horsepower - 60 Foot Pounds of Torque
Level 2: 40 Horsepower - 80 Foot Pounds of Torque
Level 3: 50 Horsepower - 90 Foot Pounds of Torque
Level 4: 60 Horsepower - 100 Foot Pounds of Torque
Level 5: 80 Horsepower - 130 Foot Pounds of Torque
Level 6: 100 Horsepower - 200 Foot Pounds of Torque
HOT UNLOCK code required for level 6. To get the unlock code you must contact Edge Products and complete a waiver located under product updates.

No mention of an upgrade FEE.
Waiver does not mean $100!!! I wasn

I have dealt with that same issue with Bully Dog products, but never Edge...I would give a call to the dealer who sold you the product and ask them if that is a typical policy and why they did not disclose that to you in the beginning when you first purchased the product....

20hp isn't worth $100 IMHO....

20 hp isn't much, but 70 tq is a fair amout. I doubt Xtream Diesel will do anything but maybe offer a refund. I'd like to keep it, with the 100hp setting.

You bought the unit at well below jobber price what are you complaining about?

Edge has the form on their site clearly stating the details on page 2. http://www.edgeproducts.com/product_images/product_update-file-4.pdf

If the Seller did not disclose this then it's between you and the Seller.

If you run the level 6 tuning you WILL harm your transmission. It may not be immediate, but it will happen...

Since you're adding to the original horsepower and torque figures with the edge, what are the rear wheel real world figures as it comes from the factory. John I know you had yours on the lie detector for a base run.
What did you learn? I've been thinking about an 07 (early one without the extras), but don't know if I can still find one.

Actually I haven't had the time yet. I have about 1000 miles on it now (or so the dealer said when they fixed the creak in the steering wheel) and I've been street tuning for quite some time now. EGR is off, etc.

Sorry for the off topic...

End result:
They offered to give it for 50% off.
Not really what I wanted, but took the offer, thank you Edge.
At least they did change their website to openly reflect the additional fees involved, thank you again. This should make other customers happy also.
Although not racing it on level six, it is returning increadable MPG on level 6 with easy driving.
Tech support is also great. Love talking to a real person.

My buddy had about 5k miles on his 07 Cummins 6spd, and threw in a programmer.......clutch was slipping by 4th gear on first run!!!

Autos are worse, but it shows what they can't handle.
