Hi all, I am about to refresh the engine in my truck. I have a 1993 GMC 6.5 TD Dually w/ auto. The truck has 220,000 and the timing chain is stretched from here to Montana. I have the cooling upgrade, new marine injection pump, hi pop injectors and an inter-cooler, new BD exhaust and a BD jake-brake. I have also purchased Hughes performance transmission setup for diesel applications.
Should I replace the oil pump and have a look at the heads? Is there any thing else I should replace upgrade?

When I did mine, I replaced the oil pump for sure.I had the heads done & water passages repaired too. I stongly recomend port matching the intake manifold and intake and exhaust ports on the heads along w/the exhaust manifolds. Also do Kennedy's tech tips on air box and upper intake mods. I used a dremel tool to do the work b4 I sent the heads out. From the description of your mods It should be a different truck when your done. Mine is. I figured do it right and it will be good for along time.

Don't forget the turbo master, that's what makes the intercooler work.
