Hi All,

Anyone have any comments on HID conversions? With the generally poor lighting our trucks have I wonder if anyone has tried these? I assume since the slug is a cooler light there

First I've heard of these...

Look cool, your basic computer projector bulb. I wonder if they're instant-on, or if they have the warm-up.

Moved from 6.5 forum...

The problem with the lights in these trucks (and most US vehicles) is not the bulbs, but the poorly designed reflectors and lenses.
Our headlights were not designed for HID bulbs and will not put the correct pattern of light where it is supposed to be.
HIDs really need to be used with projector style headlights, the ones with the big glass lenses that looks like half a shere.
I don't think it would be worth it to put HIDs in our stock headlights. It probably would not help alot and it would certainly blind oncoming traffic MUCH more.

That's my $.03. I've been researching lighting for quite a while.
