Remote Starter 07 2500HD

Does Chevy sell Remote Starters as an option or accessory for the 2007 2500HD Duramax LBZ? I know there are aftermarket remote starters that are advailable, but I am considering trying to stay with the factory accessories, if advailble.

They do supply a remote starter as an option on the LT and standard on the LTZ

A Dealer told me that they can reflash the computer on our 06 LBZ and our 06 H3 Hummer and then you would have the remote starter option. It is supposed to work by pushing the unlock feature on your keypad 3 times, and then your truck will start. That doesn't sound right to me? Maybe I misunderstood him? I would think there is some additional hardware to install?Anybody know?

I've had good luck with DEI starters. While browsing their web site www.directed.com I found an econo system for the GM vehicles with factory remote start. It seems this kit was released because the factory unit onl;y has a range of 150' or something like that...
