Allison won`t shift

Live in Va. I have a 2004 3500 dumx.w/allison. I let truck warm up for 20 min. left for work and transmission would not shift. Engine light came on solid not blinking. I stopped and turned truck off and tightened fuel cap. Cycled key a couple of times and everything was ok. Couple of days later happened again. What should I do?

go to someone that has a OBD2 reader like a dealer or good mechanic and see what codes are stored in the computer.

We've seen varying issues with the cold. Allison pressure codes, and fuel filter plugging have been quite common as of late.
