What, generally, are the top 5 warranty issues that should be taken care of prior to the expiration of the 3/36k warranty?

Go over the truck looking for leaks - i.e. transfer case, rear wheel seals, etc. Make sure all your power windows, and all electronic/electrical accessories operate normally. Only the engine is covered beyond 3/36 for pre-2007 GM vehicles.

Ask the dealer if any new ECM/TCM updates are available that pertain to your vehicle.

I let the dealer do a complete service and get him to check everything. Before the warranty runs out. He likes do any warranty work.

If you have 4WD check the driver's side front axle where it enters the differential housing. It should not have any up and down play and should not leak.

Tell them you are running low on power, they should do an injector and boost test, I think its a $100 deductable after 36K.
