We have an 01 Silverado, with the 6.6. 4 doors, 4x4, towing package. rubber floors, no power loccks or anything, just a basic work truck.

No bangs or dents or scratches or anything, interior is all in good shape, no one smoked in it. has never been off warranty, so oil is changed regularily.

We have 152000 K on it now.

Any idea what we should sell it for?

one dealer suggested listing it at 26,995 as a starting point and then be a little flexible to accept offers.

(We live in Ontario Canada) Been looking around at dealerships to find ourselves a new one, and they are few and far between. dealers say everyone is looking for a diesel in our area right now.

Jen, I am amazed that anyone would tell you to start at 27k$ for an 01' with 152k miles! I recently bought an 01' 2500hd ext. cad (all doors open) with most of the bells and whistles (power doors, air, power seats, cd, etc.) the truck had 65k miles on it and it was "listed" for 24k$. I bought it with no trade in for 19.5k$. I thought it was a decent deal, and truck was in excellent shape, never pulled hard (5'x8' enclosed trailer), with 2 small scratches on the tailgate.

So if you get 27$k, AWESOME! Let me know maybe I'll try it and buy my new one! Good luck, I do hope it works! Goodluck finding a new one too.

Shed,

It has 152 000 kilometres on it (we live in canada) not sure what that converts to in miles though.

I think the reason he said to price it so high is that everyone is looking for diesels now.

I really want to keep it cause i like it, but it sure would be nice to have all the bells and whistles and a little newere truck.

Jen,
That sounds better. Sorry I forgot that whole Km thing. Converts out to around 94k miles. That still seems high, but if you can get it, do it!:D Down here I have had some luck finding 01'-03' trucks (duramax/allison) with 50 to 75k miles on them for anywhere from 17k to 25k. Good luck with your search for the buyer and the new truck! Shed

If you mean Canadian $$ too, it's not too far off the mark.

yes canadian dollars.

Great! we will give it a try and see waht kind of offers we get.

I think I would take as low as 25,000 CA for it if I had to, but it would be nice if i got more.
