well ive got a new problem.... ive got a 97 3500 crew cab dually and when towing after about 30-40 miles I lose overdrive and it just stays in 3rd and wont shift and the service engine soon light doesnt come on... we stopped and got a bite to eat the truck sat for about 15mins and than when we got back on the freeway it had overdrive again... does this sound like tranny going out or electronic somewhere?

Read the codes. Just because the light wasn't on doesn't mean there aren't any stored.

Hello, my '93 did the same thing, after about 10-15 miles on the interstate i lost 4th and TCC lockup. I read the codes, got a couple but the main ones were 2-3 solinoid stuck and unknown ratio error. AAMCO wanted $2100 for a rebuild, so i asked a buddy that does tranny work in his home garage what he thought. I replaced the filter/fluid and the 4 solinoids in the tranny. Got those off ebay for under $80, works just fine now. The kit i bought had the 1-2 & 2-3 solinoids, the PWM and TCC solinoids.

well i ran the codes had about 13 so i cleared them all and wrote them down....towed with it last friday again and got it to do it again and ran the code again and this time only 1 code and it was the T.I.C.C. Performance Stuck off?
any idea what this is?
