So far none of them are any competition..
Spanked, I mean flat out spanked two Powerjokes today, yes both were giving it there best. One was a 2008, Ugly, load crewcab and the other a 2004 standard cab, with all the guages, piped, air filter, guy wouldn't shut up. So he learned the hard way....
Must suck real bad, when a stock truck, spanks a highly modified.
Love that Duramax LBZ/Allison combo.

I haven't been beaten by either one, but I know a couple of Dodges that have pulled out in front of me on the highway that just covered me with black smoke trying to get out of my way quickly, I suggest you leave them alone or you might be surprised. I really did embaresse a Explorer two days ago who thought she could pass me on the right. She was running about 40 mph about 60 feet behind me in the right lane when my light turned green. Saw her nail it so I let it roll off the line and nailed it and punched the tow haul to kick in the #4 setting, just for such occasions. No contest.
and No I don't tow on #4 if case your wondering. Those old 02, LB7's aren't slow. Enjoy the truck, take care of it and it will take care of you.

Beat a 2008 Ford Super joke. By almost 2 lengths before even hitting 45 MPH. The new super joke, Ford still can't figure it out.
Cummins aren't a problem, unless they've spent $5,000 on a serious performance Torque Converter and Transmission, the stock Auto can't hold the torque, I used to own a highly moded 2001 Chummins, shortbed quad cab, I used to think it was fast, not even a contest for my LBZ duramax, I beat it a couple of days ago. Thanks for the reply

Keep hanging it out there and someone will soon whack it off! Your truck is stock and that's all. Don't think your Duramax is in race trim the way it sits. They are faster than the new Cummins by a little and faster than the new Ford by more than that but don't try telling me about how you can spank a modded 7.3, 6.0, or 5.9 with what you are running.

BTW, There is a big weight difference between the GM and Dodge. Even more so with the Ford. AND FYI the Dodge now has a real decent 6 speed auto behind the new 6.7 Cummins with factory exhaust brake. They already have a 140hp tuner and big hp injectors as well. At this rate they will be using the extra displacement to top 1000hp before you know it.

All this being said, I might be buying a LBZ tomorrow, and no, I won't be selling my "Powerjoke".

Well stay out of the Portland Oregon metro area. there are several fords and dodge trucks which we have installed tuners and other power enhancing add ons that have no problem stomping our 06 Sierra k3500 SRW LBZ service truck. send your victims down here for a proper tune :D

Hmm, sounds like sympathizers with "The Dark Side" ;) I don't own any of the new trucks but have driven and talked with my friends who own them. All have preferred the Ford 7.3 over the 6.0 liter. From what I have been told, the 6.0 liter needs a lot of mods to make it a viable contender in the perfomance area. The 6.4, I think, is going to be just like the 6.0, and going to cause Ford headaches for a while. I don't care what I am told, my old 1993 MFI Diesel, has held its own with 6.0 Powerjokes, also driven by young guys, and there is no doubt that we were racing. And you can't really compare a new stock truck with one of similar age that has been heavily modded. :D Should be interesting to see how the new Cummins will turn out as it has been a long time since a different displacement engine was released. Until then, I will keep on savings pennies until I can get me a LBZ. :D

Now it's like a rocket...:D
Bring it on.... A lot of research before I spent the mulla.
No problem and everything is tight.

I used to own a highly modified Chummins..

I love my Duramax.. Awesome truck is now a beast in stealth mode, except the dual exhaust. Next project is 6" suspension and 35" tires.

Where in PDX? I have a stock, pristine, 1990 Dodge Cummins that needs a tune. I'd also like the folks to know about the options for an old school powerplant like this.
