Check the lift pump fuel pressure with the engine idling. Should have 4-7 psi.

Need a compression check to see if a compression problem exists across all eight cyls more or less, or if there's a bad hole.

Good Day!

"26 MPG canadian" I assume that's Imperial gallons, which I think had 5 US quarts, which would calculate to 20.8 mpg US. Very good, but not at all impossibly difficult to attain. My 95 pickup has a 23.0 best tank ever, with a couple trips of 22.8 or so to back it up.

"...on hard acceleration it chuggs really bad and almost stalls..." If it feels like a gasser with an ignition miss, the 1st place to look IMHO is your LP (lift pump) system. This is easy to test, do some searching - no need to shotgun at all, you can easily know for sure what's wrong B4 buying any parts.

"...bad blow by- what product will help?" More info, please.

Blessings!
