I am looking at getting a new Duramax - I'll do some towing - at the most 10,000 lbs from time to time. Is there anything I should watch out for? I see there is Sierra and Sierra classic for the body styles.

The Sierra Classic is the old GMT800 body style. It will come with the LBZ 3rd generation Duramax which is good. The Sierra is the all new body style which I like very much . It will come with the new 4th generation LMM Duramax which needs ultra low sulfur diesel fuel. You can find out more about the engine differences if you do a search here. The Classic can be bought quite a bit cheaper as it has more incentives and the dealers are dealin'. I just bought a Silverado Classic with the Duramax. I considered the NBS Silverado wit a 6.0 liter gas motor but was able to buy the Classic with the Duramax for $3000 more and it had more options. Towing 10,000 lbs is a piece of cake for the Duramax.
