For moondoggie and all,

I changed oil recently (3K miles) and it was black. But not as thick as in the past before I flushed the oil system out well. I had about 2 tablespoons of dark liquid in the vapor condenser and this was from using synthetic oil which will not have the light volatiles to evaporate as regular oil will.

I am now using regular oil again. The 5W40 gave me leaks on my driveway! And you all know from where! Also, we have ULSD now so it is possible that all of this is for want unless someone is wanting to keep their intercooler clean. I will just have to see how much condensation I get from regular oil (15W40).

Good Day!

Thanks. If I had the time, I'd probably copy your work - hate the look of that residue on the turbo intake.

Blessings!

I hate the oil dripping out of my intercooler pipe fittings. One of these days soon I'm going to have to pull my intercooler and see how much oil is really in there!
