Went for a trip to pick morels last weekend, and after a 2 hour run time the truck would not respond to throttle inputs. Floor it = nothing, no increase no decrease in speed. About a 100 k on the truck, but would never respond after 74-80 mph. Just nothing. Hills slowed it down, but it would maintain 68-70 mph minimum. And maintain 80 on level ground only. No reving , no smoke, pulled over for a while to cool down in the wind, pulled back out after 25-35 minutes and same issues. It however runs fine the next day and every day after , until a high load is placed and held for a long time. So on the trip home it was fine until 2 hours into the trip. then similar problems. Keep it under 70 and it runs fine, short hauls it runs fine. Leaked like a sive after the long trips, but not a drop with hauls under 1 hour. leaks everything too. tranny fluid from the cooler only, oil from the filter, and coolant from the water pump. Fluids are fine and fresh but what gives. This happened about 3 months ago , when it would hesitate at exactly 35 mph, whenever full throttle was applied. Finally on another longer trip to Mt. Pleasant i noticed horrendous gas milage and truck seemed louder or higher rpm. I immediately pulled over and checked fluids. Noticed the tranny cooler leak and added 1.7 qts of tranny fluid. All problems went away for the next 8k . But this time the fluid is fine, and was changed right after the first signs 3 months ago, since I thought I might have burnt it when it was low. Appreciate the help, thanks

So the van does fine at lower speeds?

Sounds like it could be the transmission running out of fluid.

Fix the transmission leaks and other leaks before taking long journeys.

What does it do now, is it driveable?

Its drivable , but now even with the hose connection fixed and not leaking , it hasn't changed anything . It hasnt leaked a drop of anything ever until this trip , and the small tran cooler line 3 months ago. How could it run out of tranny fluid if the fluids are full. This is why i am confused, it was low before and toping it off fixed it, now the fluids are still fine but problems are back ????

Appreciate the reply.
