I'm new to the diesel page and new to a diesel truck and new to fifth wheel towing. I need wider mirrors for my truck. I saw the latest article on the upgrade manually extending mirrors for the 2006 and I wonder if anyone knows if those mirrors will retrofit back to my 2001 GMC Sierra 2500HD Crew Cab Long bed. If not, what suggestions does anyone have with experience? I tried the inexpensive strap-on mirrors and found them to be just a hair above useless. They shake so bad going down the road that they are more of a distraction than a help. Thanks, and I apologize in advance if I didn't do this post correctly.

The OE 2006 mirrors aren't very good either. Here's a review of what I suggest:

I tooke the OE units off of my 2007 and swapped in a set of TTT and sold them.

Thanks, John. I really like the looks of those mirrors. I'll have to save my shillings so I can get a set.

Not the best looking mirror and for $550+ $ for wiring , I would have to get some serious cash for my stock (limited vision) 2006 mirrors
