Dang Torsion Bars!!!

Ok im puttin on some newer cams to add a little lift to my truck and the biggest problem i am havin is i cant get the dang torsion Bars off, i have released the drivers side of all pressure cuz that is the one i was told to start with....the problem is i cant get the bar to budge out of the old cam to slip in the new one. Any help would be greatly appreciated to get me on the right path....THANKS

Are you using the special tool? Even after you remove the adjuster bolt, there is still some tension on the cam. There is a special tool that lifts the bar to remove the tension. If you are using the tool and it still won't move, then it is probably just rusted in place - soak with some good penetrating oil and give it a couple smacks on the outside with a BFH - be careful and do not hit the torsion bar!
