Surging on light thottle

I just bought this '93 2 months ago, only 40,000mi, on rebuild. (I was there when it was put in) Anyway, When i'm driving in town, in say 4th gear, barely pressing the pedal. I get a surging, or bucking, then I let off completely or give it about half thottle, it goes away..
Any clues?

check for fuel flow...fuel pressure....with engine running

possible blocked filter/reduced fuel

Your not alone mine is doing the same thing, I hate to put it out there but could this be a pump issue?

I'll have to go along with the reduced fuel flow idea. Mine acted similar when the OPS went out. I would check/replace fuel filter and then look at fuel pressure and wether or not the lift pump is functioning. Keep us posted and we will help you through your issues.
